When in Indupalma we speak about our Commandments, we refer to the group of corporative values that guide our daily activities. Our Commandments describe important aspects of our professional behavior such as: Mutual respect, caring for the environment, everyone’s capability of becoming a businessman, in other words they show the knowledge acquired by Indupalma in more than 40 years of labor.

Our first commandment directly refers about caring for others; of extending a friendly hand when it’s needed. Last December, Indupalma, directly committed with the well being of the community made an important donation to the local government of “El Cesar”, in order to help the families affected by last year’s flooding.

This donation consisted of 4.040 bottles of cooking oil and 1.241 toys for a total value of 20 million pesos that were handed to Mr. Cristian Moreno Panezzo head of the local authority and his wife. These products helped the families in need to have a better Christmas.

This action reassures Indupalma’s compromise with its social entourage and makes us all proud of working for a Company that really cares about people.

For a gift to be important, it must touch the heart of the person who receives it. That’s exactly what Indupalma is achieving with its program “Secrets to tell”, that since last year is touching the hearts of all our employees, strategic allies and their families, bringing happiness to their homes.

This is confirmed by the program intended to promote reading in which Indupalma has been working for the last two years. It was originally created by the “Foundation Secrets to Tell”, located in Antioquia and thanks to Indupalma’s interest and support was applied to its zone of influence.

Investing more than 47 million pesos in this reading promotion program, Indupalma continues to believe that education is the main tool for progress. During this year, 9.600 books were given among the whole region between Sabana de Torres and San Alberto.

But happiness not only came through books this year, but also combined with a CD containing short stories and fables from Rafael Pombo (Important Colombian writer 1833-1912) that was narrated by Carlos Vives (Famous Colombian Musician). Indupalma believes in its people and will continue working to bring opportunities of education through its social programs.
